Walter Tyson

CHAIRMAN AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Walter has used his entrepreneurial drive and problem-solving ability to enhance production and drive results throughout his work in the petrochemical and manufacturing sectors.

He has been involved with Polyethylene Containers Incorporated (PCI) since 2012, when he purchased a minority stake in the firm. During 2015, he bought out the remaining partners and became CEO. He increased capacity by more than 30% and doubled revenue during his first five years at the helm.

Prior to PCI, Walter held several high-ranking positions at Cross Oil and its successor firm Martin Resource Management Corporation, joining in 1992. During his more than 20 years at the firm, he greatly expanded the capacity and revenue of the company’s packaged lubricants and other refinery products.

Before beginning his successful corporate career, Walter was a member of the United States Marine Corps, serving in the Gulf War. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science from Southern Arkansas University and a Masters of Business Administration from Harding University.

Walter and his wife Dana have three children: Alan and John, who work for PCI, and Wesley who is currently enrolled in Medical School at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
